I wasn't able to place a segment of the text here, but this story about religion's role in white supremacy is very much worth the listen. While the Mormons certainly had (and still have) racist teachings (see both Joseph Smith's and Brigham Young's teachings on the subject), what they really did was run with the ball that they were given, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, like some of the white Evangelical churches in the deep south, has never owned up to its role in the spread of white supremacist beliefs. Yes, it now allows African-American members to attend the temple; but it has never, to this day, found the courage to say that what Joseph Smith, Brigham Young, and other leaders have said even in this current century, was wrong! And it has never apologized for the racist actions and statements of those leaders.

See - another PROOF the Book of Mormon is true. White Jesus came tot the White Nephites and some Lamanites converted. Generations come and go but the truth of White and Delightsome is still part of their Culture - directly from Jesus in the New World.

Zeeeeezrom has been here all of a week and has yet to post on anything related to mormonism. It's like he sees RfM as nothing more than another forum to post social/political opinions.

He's been around for many years as evidenced by his familiarity with Benson. This is just a new incarnation of what is evidently not the sharpest knife on the tree.

Looking more closely, I see you are right. I was mistaken.
