never gave it much thought before. Just thought I needed a roof over my head was good enough no matter how bizarre or crazy the other people were in the same house. Now I see a peaceful home by myself where I am in charge of things as a huge benefit to my psychological health.

I feel the same way, Adamal. When I was a young woman, I wasn't earning a lot of money, and I had roommates for many years. For the first few years, it was fun, and then it increasingly wore on my nerves. Now I have my own home, and I love the peace and quiet.

+ 1,000,000 for a peaceful home (although being by myself in that home is definitely not my preference).

I grew up in a frequently insane family (my nuclear family and my extended family both), within frequently insane circumstances (which I am, at least to some extent, still jousting with).

I vastly prefer my infinitely better adult circumstances now.

In my case, it took me a very long time to bring all of this together, but I wound up in a home, and in my present circumstances, which is my personal definition of "heaven."

I wish you all the very best, Adamal.

A lot depends on how you adjust and adapt. Think of things as different, not bad. For example, a camping vacation instead of a cruise or resort.

This may be a good opportunity to repair damaged relationships.
