It is all utilitarian lies. Satan is pulling the strings. Showing of gold and sex as the highest good in the universe. Imagine all the kids who used drugs only because media glorified it. Imagine going to a sports arena and seeing adverts for alcohol. What does sports and alcohol have together except advertisment money?

Prosperity gospel and end-time TV preachers are the worst of all.

Lying grifters engaged in hypocrisy and priestcraft, every last one.

The media reflects what people value and are interested in, no more, no less. Yes, there are a lot of shallow people out there. There are also people of great depth, and everything in between.

What you assert without evidence can also become a mega-church, a belief system, an advantageous political talent, and make you a lot of money.

No such thing as "sin".
L-d$,inc glorifies sex and uses it for controlling the members. Forces the young to hold back and as pressure for marriage, then the major push for babies. More and more and more babies, putting sex as a duty.

Nothing to do with media at all.

Yes. The corrupt Fux nooz, OANN, Newsmax, and their clones are indeed sinful.

Why does Satan have to be the author of cultural badness? People in the aggregate do this to themselves. No bogeyman needed to blame for our collective badness.

Yeah, but you're psychologically integrated so take personal responsibility and don't need a Lucifer to blame

It is crap. Media do not inform people. Media do not think people deserve facts.

read 'The Power Worshippers' by Katherine Steward;

'Inside the Dangerous Rise of Religious Nationalism'

DJT, the King of Conspiracy Pandering, used "religion" to manipulate voters & supporters, we can see how he exploited religious beliefs & loyalty to obtain & maintain his power/ego, even tho I don't recall him referencing Stan.

I love Mr Deity because Lucy(fer) is the only one in the group who is actually competent at her job. She is trying to keep the world running in spite of an endless stream of bad ideas and incompetent fumbling by Mr Deity.

Brian Dalton, the writer and Mr Deity hisself, is an exMo, and I wouldn't be surprised if all the actors in the series are exMo. It actually brings up interesting theological and philosophical issues.

If you are not familiar with it, search Mr Deity on youtube.

The media has devolved into a useless source of information.

The media’s primary purpose is to generate profit for their corporate owner(s) with absolutely no regard for the earth they scorch in that quest.

I think we tend to view the media, certainly the news media, as good or bad depending on whether or not it is our ox being gored. Personally I will take today's media with all its faults over media in a managed society. An attack on a free "press" is usually the first target of would be dictators.

Great point. The voices no matter how small have to be silenced for Big Brother's broadcasts.

I find the thought of finding the media sinful odd on this website.

There is a church COJCOLDS that is build on plagiarism, polyandry, polygamy, sex abuse, one abuse of power. This site was began to help people who believed those lies or grew up groomed to believe these lies. All lies.

It was proven that 90 percent of the BOM was copied from books written and copyrighted well before JS read them and copied them.
So that is dishonest. Is dishonesty not your idea of sin?

Why not just say the media is dishonest? All the TBMs think anyone saying their church is based on lies get very upset and defensive because they have been manipulated to believe lies are truth and therefore the truth is lies.

Even history has been rewritten because the persons who wrote the original history wrote untrue books. When proven otherwise history was corrected.

So is what you think the media is sinful really proven true or are you following untruth?

This site has published proof that the whole LDS church is a sham yet millions of people refuse to believe truth and embrace lies.

Are your beliefs of what the media publishes true, or what the author believes is true without proving authenticity beforehand.

It's not insecurity, and I'm talking about what I *think* not what I *feel*. I grieved when I realized I'd stopped believing in heaven. It was a gradual process. In another thread, someone expressed it better than I can: Atheism can be a process and kind of sneak up on you.

I started doubting the god thing when I was 12, but it wasn't until I was in my 30s that I realized that I just don't believe that stuff. I was raised to believe in a certain god, but many of my friends were Jewish, and when we started turning 13 and they were having their Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, I'd sit in the synagogues and think it was stupid for me to believe that they were going to hell. Their parents sent them to Hebrew School (classes after school - not like a JCC School), and I went to Sunday school, Bible study, Prayer Meeting because my mother made me go. So, yeah. I was sitting there thinking that my religion was unfair. Maybe theirs was, too, because one of my friends' mother wasn't Jewish and she was a bit pissed about missing out on the Bat Mitzvah thing.

I believe you, I've seen enough immaturity in some adults to trust that a nasty parent can't begin to understand that this party is not about them.
