I didn't know it at the time, because I was young and completely uniformed, but it turned out that the 4-LP record version of The Messiah by the Mo-Tab and the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra that my mom bought via the Columbia Record Club, was an abuse, since I was a minor.




Speaking of the Columbia Record Club, I heard stories about Elders taking advantage of the "Get 13 Albums for just 13 cents when you join the Columbia Record Club!!"... Then for months and months, dunning letters would arrive every week for Ben Dover or Abraham Lincoln Continental, etc. Can anyone confirm this apocrypha?

A knifemaker and Aikido instructor from Manti was a Choir member a few decades back. Then he got in with Bruce Longo, the guy who was "the Holy Ghost come to earth to get his body" or "Jesus" - and killed himself while his wife threw their kids off a hotel balcony near Temple Square.

He was kicked out of the Choir.
