I am now 30 minutes into 2021, so I decided to drop off greetings to this place where I have hung out for about 18 years now.

I wish you all a fantastic 2021! And for those who have been indulging my musical pursuits posts, a double thank you.

Our German Armageddon fireworks show was much shorter this year, but it did go on. And Noyzi the Kosovar street dog is glad it was short.

Enjoy your New Year’s Eve if you’re still celebrating. See you on the flip side.

Noyzi! I wish I'd heard of that name when my kids were born!

Happy New Year, knotheadusc.

Happy New Year to you also! And I hope there won't be any fireworks in my area tonight so my dog can sleep peacefully.

Happy New Year! Glad to hear that Noyz is well. I'd forgotten about the fireworks to come.

Joy, my pup, tends to do okay, but last 4th was a nightmare. Some crap dudes who were kayaking in the river threw a few M-80s into my yard. >:/ I hope they ran through their stash last summer. Or not. They might be throwing sticks of dynamite tonight if they get desperate.

I'm glad the music is going well. It's nice to have a laser focus on learning and creating something when the rest of the world seems to be going to hell.

To your health!

Oh hell - just heard the first boom, and it's not even dark yet. Time to lock up the ducks.

Happy New Year, everyone!! I have just over four hours to go yet.

Seven hours to go!!

I’ll never make it...

The notion that I would still be alive and kicking in 2021 is weird, when I consider when and where I came from. But I’m not complaining, unless I can get a refund, or a do over...

Thank you. :)

It's already dark where I live, and so-far I have heard two bombs go off in a park about 4 blocks from where I live--outside of my cities bounder-es.

I have no dog to be afraid, but I do have dogs on either side of my house, so I will soon see how it goes. These dogs, I am sure, will be kept inside to help minimize any noise for them from the near-by park.

The main reason I know this, is because the city in which I live does not allow fireworks--due to fears of starting fires.

In a lot of ways, things taint what they used to be, and sometimes, they are lots better. I remember as a little girl of about 7 yrs. old, of a little boy around the block from us, and about the same age as me, who got his hand blown off by a firework. That's an awful price to pay, and (I presume), began to make people be far more careful with handling fireworks.

I've been wishing people a happy 2020. After a few minutes when they have figured out that I am not wishing them a happy new year they get mad.
