After I went on line and saw how much it costs to buy, & keep a bird for a pet, I decided that buying an old Catolack and just leave it in my driveway and never use it, would be cheaper.
Pets can be quite expensive. I love my cat dearly, but his food and veterinary care have run a lot of money. The trade off has been more than worth it for me, as he has been good company and an endless source of entertainment.
The males (singers) can cost between $100-$200+, but He doesn't take up a lot space or maintenance. Seed is reasonable, and makes for a cheerful companion. Life span 6-10 years.
