Does the organization that you are a member of or are anticipating becoming a member of fit here? If so watch out!!!
Member complicity: the members have to go along with the current ideology
This is a tricky one. The members must be encouraged to go along with whatever the current hierarchy chooses as a course of action. All of the true believer members must comply with, and advocate for, that which they are told to do.
Regardless of the story the members literally conspire together to forward the agenda it advocates.
The member may not truly believe but in order to stay in the fold and not upset the applecart they go along with the scam.
One reason that this is so important is in order to continue the long con, which is what this type of organization is based on, the membership must conspire and be complicit to enable it.
This is one of the places where mind control comes into play. The member must “voluntarily” assign control of his or her mind-thinking to another. In this case the people that have taken over the organization. Each member must comply with the dictates of the organization. This must be done even if it is in direct conflict with all reason! Complicity becomes a definite application of the B.I.T.E mind control system.
To refresh your memory:
B-ehavior control
I-nformation control
T-hought control
E-motional control
S- sexual practices control
These factors must be in place to guarantee complicity and control.
Complying with the demands of the leaders will become so ingrained into the minds of the membership that doing anything else would never occur to them.

The same thing can be said about certain corporations and political parties.

A good example of member complicity is how the church members for decades, went along with the mormon church 'docterine' that said that every member of the black race had been cursed by god and that their black skin was put on them so that the rest of us would be able to recognize who these cursed people were. That is a terrible belief. And when it comes time to take responsibility for such a terrible institutionalized policy, the church leaders throw both God and the church members under the bus by claiming that:

1.) The church leaders don't know why God told them to teach this. They were just doing what God told them to do (so they say).

2.) The church today publishes that there were rumors started by some church members that taught that blacks were cursed by god, while denying that the church itself ever believed it.

There is an easy test for most of us who were members of the mormon church pre-1978. What would happen in say, 1977 if you taught from the pulpit in sacrament meeting that there is no curse on the black race, that Brigham Young was wrong to discriminate against them, and that one day the church would deny that they ever taught these things? Let's say you stuck to those words and refused to recant. You would for sure have been excommunicated for saying that publicly. And yet millions of people are still mormon church members today. Most of them are complicit. Some are just ignorant.

It’s only 16 million co-conspirators.

Fortunately, the actual number actively trying to make the world a worse place is much smaller than the church claims.

The most dangerous people are not serial killers or petty criminals, but those who will do or believe anything they are told by people in authority.

If you are willing to hurt and abuse people, because your leaders tell you to, you are incredibly dangerous.

The Milgram experiment, replicated many times, has consistently found that about 2/3 of us will harm for authority. That leaves the remaining 1/3 to resist the banality of evil.

And Milgram’s experiment, even with the flaws that have recently been exposed, is merely an elaboration of the older Asch Conformity Test.

Most people are more comfortable silencing their own perceptions than they are comfortable going against the crowd. While in this bind, some build internal “shelves” that may or may not eventually “collapse”. Some don’t even do that much.

What amazes me is how little people consider this phenomena vis-a-vis the News Cycle, how persistent, successful and easily Herman & Chomsky’s Manufacturing Consent is at play in our daily lives.

The pressure to outwardly conform, after 9-11, to the official narrative that Iraq must be invaded and occupied was enormous. More amazing was the nonchalant shrugging-off of a million+ murdered Iraqis when eventually the string of liars and lies that was behind the mass murder was exposed. Nobody cared, and there was no accountability. In fact, many of the liars in that string, war criminals, went on to be celebrated and are still celebrated. Banality of evil, indeed.

It’s frighteningly easy to get 2/3 of any population to conform to anything, Mormon Jesus, military invasions, or the banal need to keep your wardrobe updated. We’d much rather drown ourselves and our planet in discarded textiles than be caught at work or play with the wrong look.

The reason that I posted this was that it is one of the 22 indicators that I have isolated which indicate that the organization could be or is in fact a theological cult. I believe that we are well advised to look at t hngs like this and evaluate whether or nor we should be associated with such an organization.

Absolutely F**King correct!

they draw people in thru effective indoctrination which starts at toddler age for BIC / born in ChurchCo families (even those not born or sealed into sealed parental units).

the indoctrination is relentless & reinforced thru repeated presentation - only slight variance in their 4 yr cycle.

One would think that members would want to escalate or upgrade the level of education beyond the routine, but they're reminded not to 'because there might be newbies' or other excuses;

Member engagement with the core 'gospel of Christ' is a Km Wide but 2.54 cm deep.

Members get numerous claims & promises for compliance - conformance,

ChurchCo gets $$$$, tithing + many other forms of 'contributions': time of labor, I knew a member who donated property to build a church chapel on, members 'donate' their dental fillings, inheritances solicited, on & on.
