Hi all ! My sister recently lost both of her adult children. I’m not sure what is appropriate to say or do on Mother’s Day. I was thinking about sending flowers (I live many miles away).
Good idea. If flowers are scarce, send a plant. It is impossible to know what to say. There's more that you can NOT say, like, "Happy Mothers' Day." Yet, you don't want to ignore her, when other mothers are being honored. Let her know you are thinking of her, that you wish you could see her, that you love her and miss her, and hope she is well, and things like that."
That says "You are Loved" on the front "today and every day" on the inside. I got it for my childhood friend's mother who has lost both of her children.
