SL Trib today did a story about a letter from the FP stating that all temple patrons and workers must wear masks at all times when within a temple. It sounded to me like this applied to all temples until further notice.

What about people who have a mask exemption? Are the LDS going to go down the disability discrimination route?

btw, do endowed adults ever do proxy baptisms. or, is it only for young uns?

that should make the agonizing and miserable temple ceremony experience just that much more unpleasant ....... as it was NOT worth suffering through in the first place......

How about they spend a few mill (they wouldn't miss it) on installing air purifiers in all their buildings worldwide.

Or bringing back paid cleaners to give each building an occasional much needed deep clean.

Mask have their place for sure and I wear mine out and about in the shops at work etc but theyre only one component.

Donated cleanliness is the most next to Godliness.

The cheap masks most people wear pretty much stop droplets and yeah that helps. But distancing is a huge factor. In an endowment session you are packed together and shaking hands a lot. It’s a horrible situation to avoid a virus in.

There were some people who heard that they were planning to change the ceremonies again to make them contact free. Not sure of the validity of that.

But yh distance is a big one and avoiding unnecessary time indoors in places full of people helps.

I can see Karen the temple patron getting physical with the 80 year-old temple workers.

Soon individual families will be staying at the temple RENT FREE... doing 40 HOURS of TEMPLE WORK each week to earn their keep.

Dark winter is coming. Volunteers will be more scarce. Some temples may close.

He doesn't want to kill off any more tithe payers.

So Rusty has told the faithful to get vaccinated and mask up...and if they refuse??...then what? Excommunication?

So the temple is going Eyes Wide Shut now? Is the prayer circle ceremony going to involve nudity?
