Just another man derived movement building strange structures. History just repeating itself. I guess the LDS want to leave their mark on the world before they dwindle and disappear.

Some history major, in 2205, will get his master's degree based on his research, which will result in a thesis, which he'll title: "Mormon Temples: what the holy fück!".

Well the poured concrete and stone temples will last centuries but the cladded steel structure and wood framed ones won’t last as long. But there will be a few LDS ruins left.

Temple Marriage Drive Thru in Las Vegas Nevada, maybe has destiny written in lights!

After Dusty Rusty said the use of the word Mormon was a victory for Satan, I figured anything was possible. Now I’m looking at a Salt Lake Temple with the tops of the spires gone and the inside gutted. I hope they can put the puzzle back together again. I guess the temple Brigham built is not good enough.

Drive through Vegas temple? Nothing would surprise me now.

Monkeys aren't indigenous to Utah, so it won't be exactly like Cambodian ruins. Any prediction on what will be living in Mormon temple ruins?

The temple ruins will be all over. But people tend to strip things off of abandoned buildings to build something else. That’s what happened to the Nauvoo temple. Or the temple gets converted to another use. This was the case with the Kirkland temple. It was useful as a school house and public meeting hall.

But whatever kind of creatures frequent abandoned builds would be in the temples. Everything from homeless vagrants to snakes to stray cats.

If not declared another Motel of the Mysteries satire, future
archeologists will label them expensive movie theatres.

They have a lot of similarities to the old Greek mysteries. We will probably never know what actually happened inside those temples.

I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.” (Shelley)

For the lds temples someone could buy it and turn it into a wedding chaple. Las Vegas has many wedding chapels like that. Ofcourse the cafeteria needs to be open for all the wedding guests and they would need to have a photographer on temple ground. Wedding dress rental and tucks rental. Make affordable wedding packages available like Las Vegas has and when Mormonism goes under they can go from religious sells people to the wedding industry.

Some future archeologist will uncover a toilet paper roll in the ruins of a temple and will proclaim it to be a prayer roll.

Ha-ahahaha hahahahaha..

They could have done that - IF ANY OF IT WERE TRUE ANYWAY - if JS, Jr. hadn't lost the invisible plates... like he did his marbles.

If was living in the future and came upon mormon temple ruins, I would guess it was a Vogon poetry library.
