Uh no. Border Collies are too smart. They are one of the few breeds that can reason, understand changing conditions and adjust their actions accordingly. They don't just protect like a Great Pyrenees or drive like an Old English they are the brains of the operation. They are very difficult to fool.

Shame that more people are not like them :)

They may focus on more passive things but they are NEVER lazy. This is one reason they are such a difficult breed and not for many. They are NOT a good "family dog". They do not have an off switch.

The perfect breed for you EOD is a Coton de Tulear :) In fact, I think you may BE one but in a puppy cut.
