That was... interesting :-)

Here is France Gall inn a wonderful sweater from the same time (1977-78).

She did some good stuff during the late 70s/80s.

She died a few years ago. RIP.

I feel like I missed something.

Anyway, no beauty in a sweater gets a pass on the kitschiest pop in a generation--excepting, of course, EOD's favorite Pink Lady.

Way down upon the Snoqualmie River,
Far, far away.
Where the newly baptized Mormons shiver.
With not a single Gay.

Not only SNO-

Pacific Northwest passes, other roads shut due to snow, slides, flooding-

The mountain pass on Interstate 90 between the East and West sides of the state, through the Cascades, was closed Thursday due to high avalanche danger, zero visibility, and blowing, drifting snow. All mountain passes are impassable tonight still and conditions are bleak.

Actually, 4 Washington mountain passes are closed through at least Friday: I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass [closed Thursday], US 12 over White Pass (closed through at least Saturday, Jan. 8), Stevens Pass on U.S. 2, and Blewett Pass on U.S. 97 were also closed Thursday.

(Also Highway 101 is/ was closed (south of Brinnon?) for clearing trees and restoring power.)

last report I saw was ~ 6 meters of snow this year, a 20 year record.

How does that compare with other mtn passes where RfM posters live?

Cahuenga Pass, between the San Fernando Valley and Hollywood, remains open, but there are scattered reports of hookers, gawkers, and thieves, and also with Cher . . .

My sister lives in Hagerman, Idaho. She says there is A LOT of snow up there. They had snow days for school--not the closure of schools because of the virus.

And I'm in Hyrum, Utah, and the snow we had is pretty much melted. I can walk the dogs again as it isn't SO COLD. In fact, it is supposed to be around 50 in SLC today.

I know we need the moisture (we've had rain), but OH it is so nice to have that 10 degree weather gone. I don't think trying Sardine Canyon today for me would be a good idea. I need new tires.

My niece and nephew-in-law live nearby in Wenatchee, and they've got a lot of snow too!

My late brother lived most of his life in the Seattle area (he passed a few years ago). He used to take me to a corndog place out towards Snoqualmie Pass, and the corndogs were awesome! It was just a trailer on the side of the road out there.

Don't look to the Rebel Resistance. They don't have the equipment, experience and expertise to look after you.
