Like, bombing a theater holding thousands of mothers and their children with the word ‘Children’ written in large letters on the ground outside the theater?

Heroic deeds?
Like bombing maternity hospitals?

History will remember this speech and play it alongside Hitler’s Nuremberg rallies.

In my opinion, Putin is 'a piece of work'. He and Hitler will be able to cuddle together in hell.

Fascism : a way of organizing a society in which a government ruled by a dictator controls the lives of the people and in which people are not allowed to disagree with the government.

Um, one side is confused.

If they are calling one side "antifa," that stands for ANTI fascist.

So, that means the side calling the other side antifa are the PRO fascists.

I find it interesting that while Putin is trying to restore the Soviet empire, he has none of the Soviet antipathy to religion. He is trying to restore the Russian Orthodox Church to its former prominence, and he seems to want it to be as right-wing reactionary as the US Bible Belt strain of Christianity, but with more interesting clothes and artwork.

His attitude towards religion should indicate that it is not the Soviet Empire he is trying to restore but rather the Czarist Empire, supported as it was by Orthodoxy.

The irony of Putin talking about having a soul. Oy.

I don't know what version Putin is supposedly quoting but his phrasing is for home consumption. Soul is less blunt than the word life which most Bible versions use and he certainly does not want to remind Russians of the heavy losses his invading soldiers are incurring.

Lot's of Putin's in this world. Most this world is ran by dictators. It's always been that way. People are always being killed. The atrocities in Yemen and other places are hardly covered by the media.

I’ve known a few psychopaths. They sleep better at night than most of us do.

There's not a lot on their consciences, to be sure.
