I just blogged about this but I HAD to share it with a wider audience! It's truly bizarre! utah hosts alcohol retail conference!

"The Responsible Retailing Forum (RRF), a leading organization in preventing underage sales of alcohol and tobacco, is holding its 9th Annual Responsible Retailing Forum (RRF) in Park City, Utah, from April 12-13, 2011. The meeting is being hosted by Utah's Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control..."

What WERE they thinking of? Who in their right mind would let Utah's Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control host an even on responsible alcohol retailing??

Note That it is Being Held in Park City...

Park City is about as representative of Planet Utah as Las Vegas or Atlantic City are representative of the country as a whole...

Old Mining Town; Now a Ski Resort...

About 40 miles east of Salt Lake in the heart o' the Wasatch...

Johnny Carson used to have a place up on the hill, and there are still lots of celebrities... It's ground zero every year for the Sundance Film Festival...

There should still be some world-class skiing available for those liquor vendors... That's doubtless why it was chosen...
