I don’t understand “believing in” something. I can only recall saying “I believe in you!”
I don’t really “believe in” things. Like the guy above who says he believes he’ll have another drink. He doesn’t say he believes in his drink. Maybe it’s the “in” that is hanging me up.

I still support belief in the Bell-Shaped Curve; individuals are not treated 'equally' (whatever we decide that might mean), but the distribution plots out to show us a form of even-handedness... which brings up luck, or pre-ordination, or whatever you'd like to bring to the "how do we explain this?" party.
Starting with the observation that we're each the center of a Universe, being unable to fully agree on everything should be easy to understand.

In terms of spiritual things, I believe in an afterlife, and that reincarnation is a strong possibility.
Apart from that, I believe in old-fashioned virtues including kindness, loyalty, hard work, etc. I believe that all of these virtues can be taught and reinforced independently of religion.
