I just watched an episode of Cold Case Files: Cold Case Files named the Night Shift (they're not numbered) on Netflix. It took place in Brigham City, and there were several "Mormon" sorts of things in the episode.

One of the investigators said that he'd received a message in his heart that they would solve the case.

There were several mentions of things like "the Gospel" and lucky to "have my church" to deal with it.

At the end, one of the family members (sister? mom?) said in a real chipper voice and demeanor that she didn't worry about [the victim], that he was just in a different sphere, fine, and that she'd see him again. This in particular stood in sharp contrast to the usual family members on other episodes who usually show more emotion about the loss.
