I never blamed the devil as I'm of the belief that god and the devil ewfer to our own inner light and inner darkness, but I do agree with this statement. It's a reason residents of Utah are the #1 consumers of pornography. I who was a convert, never thought of porn as forbidden and was able to see it for what it was..bad music, horrible acting,etc. The second something is forbidden curiousities rise.

my misdeeds were of my choosing and for the most part they were a lot of fun. Particularly those involving encounters with members of the oposite sex

I believed then as now we are each responsible for our own transgressions.

My problem was that more and more ordinary things became transgressions over time to the point it became pointless to try and live without violating some imaginary rule.

Often guidelines were contradictory.

I ignored any "transgression" I couldn't find in the original scripture. When confronted, I'd ask for written proof. Usually shut them up.

As reuired, I blamed myself for not being good enough. Thank goodness for the bread and water passed by 12 year olds to take all my sin away. Jesus H. C, what a joke.
