Never did I dream the ugly side of Mormon Church is exposed this way this

A couple of days ago, I ran into an excellent review (done by a Korean Youtuber) of the drama "Under the Banner of Heaven" that still plays on Hulu. The video is only a few days old and it already has been viewed more than a half million hits with over 700 comments.

As we know, this drama is based on the non-fiction book titled "Under the Banner of Heaven" by Jon Krakauer (Journalist and writer). He investigated and juxtaposed two histories: the origin and evolution of LDS church and a modern double murder committed in the name of God by brothers Ron and Dan Lafferty, who subscribed to a fundamentalist version of Mormonism.

I am glad that videos like this are more readily available in Korean and give Korean people opportunity to get to know the Mormon church better.

It puts the news that the church is still growing but only outside the developed world into perspective.
