This hasn't been a great year. I've been spending a lot of time in bed, trying to quell this or that pain. But this gets boring.

My main entertainment often is listening to audiobooks.

I just decided to choose another one from my bookshelves. What caught my eye but "Jurassic Park?" OK, how does this relate to the GenCon that I didn't watch? (Just to keep on topic, see.)

Imagine a collection of ancient, nasty carnivores wandering around freely, able to pop up and mess with your life. . .

See the parallel?

Sorry, catnip! Hope that changes for you soon.

I used to think I wouldn't like just listening because I so enjoy the act of reading: holding the book, turning the pages, smelling its newness, counting each chapter, enjoying the words in front of my eyes.

But then I tried an audio book one day and changed my mind. The readers have lovely voices and obviously, superior reading skills. It's great to listen in the car. It depends on the book though because I still prefer to hold them in my hands. Maybe the big, heavy, very long ones go better via audio on car trips I'll admit.

Yes.
