I tend to think of LDS buildings as being lower to the ground (lower profile.) It seems like a typical newer Methodist church to me.

If you're not from the area, Frederick is an old colonial town with tons of history. It makes for a really terrific day trip or weekend getaway with good restaurants, lots of antique shops, etc. If you are looking for antique furniture, bring a truck or a van with you, because you will likely find something agreeable. The larger county of Frederick used to be quite rural, but in recent years has turned into something of a bedroom community for both Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. I could possibly see it attracting some young Mormon families who work in the District.

Really? Interesting. I never would have taken it as such.

It's been a while since I was there but it sounds correct with the address. The Bishop at that time was Higby. Is Ft Detricht still there with all the nasty germs?

Ah, Higby: a name prominent in Mountain Meadows Massacre. What a thing to be remembered for. . .

Love that area, my Mom lived there and is buried there along with other family members, and might I add Francis Scott Key.
