What is it with drivers at stoplights who are one and a half to two full car lengths back from the car in front of them? This is not all that common, but is certainly isn’t rare. I have no idea what they are thinking. Or if they are thinking.
The stop light thing is one of them I have noticed too. Sometimes cars behind are blocking things trying to turn into lanes. If people would just pull up a little, more people behind them can position better.
I can see it if it is very icy. I suspect some people are just not paying attention or maybe want to check their phone
I see it all the time now. And I have observed that the sooner they stop the sooner they can give full attention to their cell phone rather than having to be distracted by driving.
Most of my grievances have to do with people and their cell phones. At the check out counter and people don't even acknowledge the clerk as they thumb away. Very rude.
I'm always stuck behind someone driving way slow because they are texting. I finally get past them and suddenly done with their text they speed by me.
Rudeness and thoughtlessness have increased exponentially with cell phones to the point of being intolerable.
Truckers are taught to leave enough space between them and the car in front of them to fit in a small car. This is so that if the vehicle in front of them becomes disabled the truck will not have to make a backing maneuver to get around the disabled vehicle. There are a lot of bad truckers so you don't see them doing this very often. Usually at traffic lights the truck is right on my rear bumper.
People who take a job just long enough to re-qualify for unemployment which is less time than it takes to train them. This is a constant topic among employers. And no. It doesn't matter that the wages are good. They don't want to work. Well, they all do want to be influencers.
