The BoM is full of white people, just check out Arnold Friberg’s illustrations. And Jesus was definitely white, you can tell by seeing his portrait in any Mormon meeting house.
Depending n whose definition of white you are using, nobody in the Bible was white. There are still many (most?, all?) white supremacists who don’t consider Jews white. There was a time in the US, and not all that far back, when southern and Eastern Europeans were not considered white.
As for the BoM, Nephites were not just white, but delightsome. Hard to beat that. A more interesting question is how many women are named in the BoM? I believe there are a couple hundred women named in the Bible.
The research presented in the thread on genealogy--to which you were summoned but, recalcitrant spirit, did not appear--underscores the fact that there is no conceivable biological basis for "race." If an African in, say, the armies of the Ottoman Empire reproduced with a Bosnian or an Austrian; or a Moor left a child in northern Iberia, and that DNA did not die out, within a thousand years it would be spread through much of what is now considered "white" Europe.
There were of course many thousands if not tens of thousands of such interactions from Roman times through the early modern period.
Race was never a concept until we started enslaving ‘others’ then we’d dehumanize them by finding something obviously different about them to make them seem evil or closer to animals, than humans. We’d call them names like cockroaches or dogs or rats, to make it easier on ourselves when we raped, pillaged and/or murdered them while stealing their land. I guess that never really ‘started’ it’s just never ended.
