If you put the photo on Imgur, I believe you can post the link here.

Thank you summer. Appreciate your help.

Check this out. Stuck on all the doors in our neighborhood. Looks like an innocent neighborhood BBQ- right? No mention of mormonism. I've lived in this heavily mormon dominated neighborhood for 20 years. Never heard of the "Londonberry Pavilion, and I know this area well. Turns out, It's a freakin stake center about a mile and a half away, have to pass about 3 local wardhouses to get there. Sure to be ambushed by missionaries and bishops. And I guess we are project. My wife is a flight attendant supervisor. She knows a ton of gay male flight attendants, as do I. Some perform in drag showsa few times a year. I'm really inclined to show up with a cooler full of beer and my drag queen date. Why do mormons have to be so damned sneaky?

Ha ha! No need, my friend. The stake center will be providing the Kool-Aid. :o) And I'm quite sure that there will be a number of very friendly young people with nametags there to make you feel right at home.

I'm falling over laughing here. Thanks - I needed that!

First, the flyer misspells the name of the Mormon venue ("Lodonderry Pavilion"). How will strangers know This Is The Place if you don't get your own name right?

Second: When I saw the menu listing of Kalua pork I thought that was another spelling error. My mind went immediately to Kahlúa. Haha.

Sorry. I've never been to a Hawaiian luau so didn't know the name of that pork dish.

Third: "Drinks provided"? That is highly misleading. If you bellied up to their bar and asked for a Mai Tai or a Piña Colada you'd be sadly disappointed!

At least you have to say they've tried to be creative. The only Mormon "party" invite I got was to their special font. I should definitely have said thanks but no thanks.

Oh well. Better late than never.

They always call it a neighborhood party. My "husband" went to one last summer. I can't remember why, but our daughter and son-in-law were there. I wouldn't ever do that because I never enjoyed mormon parties and they bug me enough as it is. I can't make it seem I'm interested at all. My South side neighbors are very, very nice, but they are out to get me back to church.

Mormons are always sneaky. I didn't like it when I was one.

If you put on your grass skirt and attend, return and report!

They probably think they are doing a wonderful thing for the neighborhood. No doubt they will watch for people who dropped out or people who don't know any better.

there was a door poster in a thread here some years ago with the purpose of "scaring away" any door-knocking missionaries by forbidding random visitors and mentioning loud-laughter and similar things...

wish I still had that text. It was amusing - and possibly useful.

I remember that. I think the one you mean might have been from good old SuzieQ. I remember it warned of loud laughter. It was intended to offend any visitors in a comical way.

Yes, that was SusieQ's invention. I miss her. She was so full of good, old-fashioned common sense. She tried her best to be a good Mormon mom until she simply couldn't anymore.

Thanks, summer. I searched for it but spelled her name incorrectly every time and gave up.

Honestly, SusieQ was a scream. I had lunch with her in Santa Barbara once and we walked around town so she could show me her favorite weird places. She was eccentric, theatric, crafty, friendly, and loved her family dearly. She was a bit older than me with gray wiry hair and laughing eyes. We laughed so hard that people were glaring at us. She had wacky stories and more. Nice memories of her all around.

That's how she came across online as well. I'm glad that you got to meet her. I always wanted to.

That's a lovely tribute to her. The way you describe her is how I always imagined her. I loved her posts back in the day (I've been around for a long time, then stopped for a couple years, came back and forgot my old username).

I hope this isn't a touchy subject, but I've always wondered what became of Cheryl, I think that was her name. She's the one who turned her hoses on the mishies,

Why no photos on RFM?

Back in the day we had an evil troll who kept posting pictures/links to really inappropriate images including morgue shots, etc.

The decision was taken to remove the ability for people to post images here.

Yes, he was really disgusting. Really graphic stuff. It takes someone really warped to seek that stuff out. Plus the porn of course. The last straw was the.... pooping pics. That was the old 'ware. On top of all that, there was some technical reason for this new 'ware.

With a link, people can usually get an idea of what they are going to see. Before PictureTrail closed down I could always post things for people. Now I can't even post bear pics till I figure something out and I never have time :(

Would the Imgur site work for you, Sus? We are always in need of bear pics. :)

Not a story about a sad bear.

A sad story about bears.

They can be lethal to humans but humans can be lethal to bears too.

Last year, 500 bears had to be put down in B.C. One recently euthanized had become "too comfortable" in urban areas, the same as so many others, due to habits humans have, therefore was deemed a risk so bye-bye Bear. Unfortunate when a few changes could prevent such action.

I am not sure. I don't understand how it works. I would love to find another place like PictureTrail where I could put all the pics of Posters back up for everyone. If anyone is familiar with Imgur or a place like PictureTrail let me know :)

Mormonism... always lying in wait!

Deceptively trying to entrap others.

Into it's lying, time wasting, endeavors,

By being two-faced about it's self promotion!

If a rat or a roach or a thief is sneaky, Mormonism is sneakier. No doubt about it

Mormons are good at bait and switch.
