Utah is not Washington state. Auto registration is not particularly expensive compared to other states, so there is no incentive to have out of state plates. And frankly, it is just not worth the aggravtion. If you have an accident, and your auto insurance company starts asking questions about why you have a homeowners policy in one state, but a car policy in another, with a eye toward denying your claim because of fraudulent misrepresentation on your insurance application, life could get very awkward.
On top of which the cost of auto registration has nothing whatsoever to do with getting frustrated with bonehead drivers on the local primary interstate.

To some, tax evasion is a Sport which U don’t always win; there are plenty of ‘sovereign citizens’ who drive without registrations or driver’s licenses.
