My dad is whispering for some reason. Some have been derogatory remarks. Some have been about me. (I am of a dual orientation, if you catch my drift)

He was elfing mad when I told my mom. Knowing that I couldn't share the news until now (again, some people were ecstatic) I can feel authentic even though I will probably end up not doing anything about it.

What he doesn't get is that the word gay is OK. He believes that people are very screwed up, and all sorts of racist comments.

My mom said that he continues to live in the 50's with everything going on with him. He will do what he wishes. He's still my dad, even though there may be a screw loose there somewhere.

That topic makes a lot of people uncomfortable unfortunately. As long as you are living in his house, it's going to be touchy. I hope you can ignore him and focus on your goals. He's probably not going to become open minded any time soon. I hope you can be helpful and polite to him. Thank him for his help, etc. Maybe he can see you are a good and motivated person.
