Or at least Jesus is, if you are an apostate. It's true because Mormons believe it. They also believe an angel guided Joseph Smith to unearth and translate golden plates. What are the odds that a convicted money digger, who apparently never successfully dug up money even once, would come into possession of such sacred plates? It's a miracle, I tell ya.

Bad things await those who don't believe. Drinking coffee is sure to put me on the naughty list. Santa, er, Jesus would not let me in the special clubhouse or wear the magic underwear (made in China) just for that.

Damn my incredulity. If only I could believe in banal doctrines and trust smooth-talking horn dogs. I could have had so much after my death. Or so I was told by people who never heard of a Mormon coming back from the dead with confirmation.

Jesus is coming to sort things out. Such a thing has never happened before, like ever. But this world-first has to happen because it says so in a book. So be worried. Be very worried.

and my life became a living hell. So I left the church, became an adulteress and an apostate. And life still has its ups and downs--big ones. So what's the difference?

My daughter is a good mormon girl as is her husband and they keep having problems. She hasn't been able to carry a baby. She has lost at least four. I don't ask as it upsets her. She comes to me when she is ready.

So what road do you take? I'm so glad to be out of mormonism.
