MFMC has many references online using "The Church of Jesus Christ".

Their leadership has to know this is dishonest and an outright lie. That is the legal name of another mormon group.

Since they are built on lies maybe they figure more can't hurt?

Maybe they figure if challenged they will use all their lawyers to bankrupt the smaller denomination over decades of court wrangling?

Doesn't matter - they are thieves, stealing the name.

It is the name of the church. Not just "Jesus Christ".
It the same as the 7th Day Adventists using "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints". If that happened MFMC would have lawyers on them faster than crap through a goose and squawk louder than a rooster getting a colonoscopy.

MFMC is openly stealing the name of another church knowing it is small and can't afford the lawyers to fight it.

The standards of the church are not concerned with truth and legality, but instead, the higher ups ask if they can get away with it, or if their legal and financial resources can overwhelm the other party. Morals are for the little people.

There is very little honesty from the upper decks. Integrity to them means that they stole it first.

COJCoLDS is its fourth name.

When the mainstream Mormon church does things that blurs the line between itself and its offshoots, it only works to harm it in the end. The LDS church does not like to be mistaken for one of the groups that separated from it. It's constantly reminding people that it is not associated with one of those groups. And now it's using a name that it is similar to an offshoot group. Works for me.

They don't understsnd the modern world. A unique or unusual name is a bonus not a hindrance.
