Shamelessly O/T Who has read and/or watched "Naked Lunch?"

I've ben trying to the the damn book for the last 5 years and finally finished it last week, then watched the movie.
What did you get from it?
All I want to do is rip my skin off now and yell, "Benway!

Haven't read it, but I added it to my list.

I looked it up on Wikipedia, but I skipped the plot summary. (No spoilers without spoiler alerts, please.)

I love non-linear narratives. Did you like it?

I did..I am a Burrough's fan. My connection with Burroughs has to do with my troubled past; I understand how fucked up your "metabolism" can get in life.

Seriously, read the book, then watch the movie; It's incredibly disgusting, real, and confusing. It's one of the books that the ACLU defended in the '50's.

I will for sure -- I saw how the version originally released in the US was not as the author intended...

and that it had been banned in Boston. If I book is banned, I want to read it!
