Surprised at finding one of my old EQP is now ex-mo

I was reading Bishop Steve Bloor's exit blog. As I scanned the comments I saw a surprising name..... there was one of my old EQP's and SS teachers from the 80's.... who is now an ex-mo

When I knew him, this guy was a full-on TBM and (as he was a college lecturer) he gave some very good, well-prepared, interesting SS lessons.

Not only that but he mentioned his wife's family were now out of the church...... his wife's family were my nearest member family and so - as a brand new convert - I would stroll round to their house for FHE, and to cadge a lift to church.

I am glad to see that he is out

Obviously, I dont keep in contact with old members, but it is surprising how many I have bumped into, who are now ex-mo (or perhaps all the current members cross the road whenever they see me coming :-)

That is good news, op. I bet you all find it comforting to see a name you know who is not out -has saved himself money, guilt and boring Sundays due to Mormonism.
