Any of you have a temple marriage, get divorced then marry someone 'civilly'? (SP?)

My temple marriage sucked. Her TBM family boycotted it because they didn't approve of me...tattoos and peircings etc. I was worthy in TSCC's eyes but never good enough for her family. My family was not Mormon but supported our decision and threw a great reception.

We got divorced later...

I married the love of my life later, and had an awesome wedding...one of the best experiences of my life!

My first marriage doesn't even feel like it was ever valid or real.

Anyone have a similar experience? I'm glad I had the shitty temple wedding the first time, because it was such a farce that my next wedding felt so real and new...further making the first one feel like it never happened...

The first marriage is just for practice. :D

My first marriage was so long and mostly bad, the last part awful, that I do not even want to try it again. Happy for you though!

Sorry, only married once. Still am and going on 15 years. No temple involved.
