wards or congregations?

Have any of you noticed official mormon websites are now calling local Mormon churches congregations and not wards?Is this a public relations move?

'Wards' is a specific unit. 'Congregations' covers wards, branches and mission districts. This is my guess.

Congregations are large groups of people.

Wards are where you keep the physically and mentally ill.
