Years ago I went to the Salt Lake Cemetery up in the avenues. I specifically asked to see Henry Jacob's grave. The caretaker looked it up, and marked it off on a map. So I went to find it. I noticed that the humble grave marker was rather close to Zina's lavish tombstone. So I paced off the distance. Henry was 17 paces south by southwest of Zina.
I mentioned this to a friend. Later my friend went to SUNSTONE and attended a presentation by Todd Compton in which Zina's story was mentioned. After the presentation my friend chatted with Compton and mentioned to him that Henry's grave was very close to Zina's grave. "Really?" said Compton, surprised at the information.
Later when Compton's book, IN SACRED LONELINESS, came out it included the passage, "As a final irony, Zina was buried in the Jacobs family plot in the Salt Lake Cemetery not far from Henry, . . . " (p. 112)
