familysearch.org has changed JS entry

The Joseph Smith entry on familysearch.org (owned by tscc) has now been modified to show only one (!) marriage: to Emma Hale...

Well, it listed many of them, since nobody really seems sure exactly how many JS had in his harem at any given moment. Now they're all gone, except good ol' Emma.

That link doesn't work unless you have an account and can log in.

Which brings up an interesting point...the OP's link worked whether you have an account or not, it's the "publicly available" view of Joseph Smith, and shows one wife.

You've found the information, but it's not publicly available -- you have to have an account.

Somehow that is just what I would have expected. And then someone will say, "No, we never hide information! It's all right there!"

But only if you have a membership in the club. And know that you need to get a membership and look beyond the first thing they tell you.

We can always trust them to *not* tell the truth first.

The OP link was a 1999 copy of the record. But other marriages are viewable if you log into family search.
