"it was not a confession when the father and the boy told (Bishop) Hansen about the abuse."

So why isn't he being prosecuted and excommunicated?

"Arizona law is clear that no priest can disclose any confession even when it concerns child abuse," Kim Farrah, church spokeswoman, said in a statement.

What a LYING STUPID BITCH!

What the fuck is revealing the confession to the victim then? If they reveal the confession to the victim and the victim's dad (which is exactly what they should do), then the confession has necessarily been revealed. The sanctity of the confession is over and they should have gone straight to the police or encouraged the father of the victim to do so. They are covering their asses.

Fucking stupid fuck fuck.

The TSCC, like all organizations, is most interested in protecting itself. The victims of crimes are at best of secondary concern to the TSCC and its leaders no matter how much they say it isn't so. The quote from the church spokeswoman is proof positive that the TSCC just does not care about protecting children from abuse and molestation.

and you do the nasty.

And then you feel guilty and tell your bishop. That's a confession right?

But your bishop doesn't have to keep it secret. in fact, your bishop is obligated to call the BYU football player's bishop and rat him out.

But if you are a child victim of sexual abuse and tell your bishop, including who the abuser is, the bishop should keep it secret?

Mormonism is so hard to understand. Do I have this right?

Lulu. Stop trying to understand Mormonism. You can't do it. Their standards change depending on what best suits the interests of the ¢hurch at the time.

The only constants in Mormonism

Obedience, pay money, and put the church above all else. Everything is constantly changing to suit the needs of the ¢hurch.
