...in the small town where I live, so me and the hubs are going to load up our pickup and go to the dump!

One of many errands planned for a usual Saturday. Plus got a full Sunday planned too.

Gawd I hope the end doesn't come while I'm at the dump!

I've got a daughter's ballet recital too - and I stopped by the store to lay in some rum because I joined that Facebook group about the post-rapture looting party and rum seems like a drink for looters. Rum and diet Coke specifically is the drink for California looters. lol

I just may stop in and see what I can find. I have dahlias and monarda about ready to bloom, and I have been eyeing some of the wildflowers that grow along the freeway (showy evening primroses for one). I wouldn't mind adding a couple natives to the collection.

I would love to plant monarda and evening primrose in my yard. Beautiful stuff!

According to Dave's Garden (davesgarden.com) most varieties of monarda are hardy to USDA zone 4 which incudes most of the US. Wild Bergamot says it will grow in zone 3. Other names for monarda include Bergamot, Beebalm, Horsemint, and Oswego Tea. some varieties are listed as annuals which can often be grown just about amywhere provided the growing season is long enough.

Many of the evening primroses are jsut about as hardy. The showy variety that grows wild here in Texas is hardy to zone 5 according to Dave's Garden. Many of the other varieties - the yellow ones - are as hardy as the showy variety.

I plan to keep my eyes closed as much as possible. I hear the faithful will be raptured sans clothing ... and I don't want to see that.

I went to my barbell class at the gym. And in case that wasn't enough to torment myself, I went for a 10 mile bike ride. My muscles will be wishing they were raptured.
