I have some mormon keyword phrases I could rank highly for with relative ease. If you have search engine skillz, could you help me go over a strategy for link-building? It will be for my Ultra-TBM satire podcast.

Chief among them is "mormon underwear," lol

I know how to get links from articles, videos, etc, but would like someone to approve of my plan first before getting started.

Awesome. I have about 7-10 relevant keyword phrases with mostly 20,000 or fewer allintitle google results, and 1300-22000 global searches per month each, which cannot be divulged at this time, except at a certain place in the temple that will be shown you.

I intend to use some of the inexpensive link-building services (Profiles, social bookmarking, directories, etc) from members of TheWarriorForum. I am also willing and able to make, spin, and publish articles and videos for links, too.

What I would need is maybe 20-30 minutes on the phone to confirm a simple strategy for each phrase regarding What TYPES of links to get and what QUANTITY to shoot for as an immediate goal.

If you would like to help flood the SERPS with wholesome goodness, hit me up at contact@truebelievingmormons.com
(wordpress site, to be finished soon)

You need to find out what terms the true church is ranking for, that way you will find out who is linking to them and then just copy and repeat. That is the easiest way.

Warrior forum guys are good!
.gov and .edu links are best as you know!

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

Ha ha ha you know that whole veil thing honestly now is not too different from a glory hole....YUCK! I feel so embarrassed when I think I beleived that rubbish!

Thanks for the love! I look at warriorforum services like this, and I'm just like "WTF?" There are about 20 more like this on there.

All I really need is a person to do it, the cost, and an estimated time frame, and I'm ready to go. I don't care if they get me edu links, from article marketing, from pyramids, profiles, social bookmarking sites, or whatever--I will leave that to the specialists, as long they make it happen without google cracking down on anything done wrong.

I can email you the 7-10 phrases I have chosen if you like. The most helpful thing would be helping me select the right folks to outsource this to, as I have learned from sad experience what happens when I start spending tons of time learning the intricacies of SEO.

A friend of mine is in the website business and he is very sceptical of SEO. He says only two things matter: (1) important and relevant sites linking to your site and (2) the links should contain the phrases you want to rank high in (he had some technical term for that, but this is what I understood it to mean).

All the rest, according to this guy (who earns a living with websites), is BS (SEO specialists will probably beg to differ). For what it's worth, he ranks 4th on Google when I type "his" keyword.

Good luck with your project!

I agree with your friend.
Important and relevant sites...google is all about relevancy.
I used to be an SEO buff, he is talking about anchor text in the linking...

Okay again what is the end goal of your project?

I agree with you both as well, from what I have heard about link quality vs quantity, and the importance of offsite links (on relevant sites with the right anchor text) as opposed to onsite optimization and all the other tricks and tips out there about higher rankings.

I don't really know how to be more clear about my project's goals:

1) I have 7-10 phrases, like "mormon underwear" and "mormon apostles" in mind. I want my site to be in the first page of Google results, for each of these phrases.

2) I will create a landing page of my site for each of these phrases.

3) I am willing to write and post relevant articles on sites like EzineArticles with appropriate anchor text (and keyword variations) in the bio boxes.

4) I am willing to do the same with making videos and putting them on Youtube.

5) And I am willing to pay someone to get other kinds of links, as necessary to make these 7-10 pages rank higher.

This is what I'm trying to do. By "end goal," do you mean what is the site's purpose and what to do with traffic from there? If so, check out TrueBelievingmormons.com on the About page -- it is just a humor blog I want to get subscribers for.

What would be nice is getting someone who knows what they are doing to say:

Ex: For "mormon underwear," write 20-30 unique articles, spin them, and post a version of each on these Top 10 article sites....

...then make 10-20 videos and use Tubemogul to publish them on the top 10 video sites, changing up the description boxes like so...

...then try to get one .edu link to each of your pages...

...and so on. In other words, a specific plan to follow that I can implement with order and exactness, observe conditions generally, and return and report.

I have spent wasted time in the past doing willy-nilly, scattered SEO efforts, and want a tight plan in advance this time to achieve the goal mentioned above.
