I can't help noticing recently that I am part of an outcast minority. Every day I hear you folks espousing one ideal, and then I see more than one example of somebody acting in violation of that ideal! Hypocrisy! How can you claim to be "it" when you don't always act like "it"? I always do. Seriously. No one here has ever seen me abandon the absolute truth. And I never will! But you all do. Oh, yes!

Let me tell you something. My mother told me to watch out for people like you. The powerful majority who hunts down poor little weaklings like me and a few others who live the same, hunted lives. You push us to our knees and say, "deny the truth, slave." And I look at you, bravely, defiantly. At all of you. And I shudder as I say, "NEVER!"

Each of my friends has had the same experience. We talk about it all the time.

I know what you are planning. To take us to the edge of town and run us through. Just like Obi-wan.

You control everything. I know that. People like me, who cherish a belief in the one simple truth that could fix the world's problems are cast out and ridiculed. Why? Our lives are so hard. You force us to live in constant fear. And then you try to pretend that WE control something? How could we? They won't let us!

You are all hypocrites. But not me. You all fail to live up to what you say. And sometimes you even change your ideals, so you aren't even as constant as me! You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

I am so tired of being so brave.

Someday you will get your come-uppence. For now, I guess I shall have to be satisfied knowing that I am right. And that is what matters.

Laughter is a good end to the drama we've been seeing lately. I'm glad you are changing the mood up a bit.

Hey! Are you MO or exMo? WTF? No one can accuse me of persecuting the MOs. The most I am guilty of is ridiculing them.

But you are probably guilty of being one of Them.

Which them? Ex-MO? Proudly so! In fact I am an ex-bishop, ex-apostle, ex-elder, ex- high priest, ex-prophet, ex-seer and ex-revelator. I might also include a proud claim that all of that makes me an ex-fool. I will not persecute you, but could be convinced to ridicule you if your whine enough.

To answer your question, quite Ex. This topic was a response to some issues that have arisen on the board this week. And a pattern I see on tons of other boards. Sometimes a person with very little to say speaks out on a board simply to convey the sentiments I wrote above. It is rather funny, I think.

And, no, I was in no way offended by our interaction. I wasn't offended by anything. I am a somewhat older poster, having come onto the board about two years ago. The veterans who took me in know that I can get pretty silly sometimes.

The issues I was referring to were not threads I was involved in personally.

BTW, the bible going from Greek into Latin, according to one person I would consider knowlegeable (sp), would have been during the Augustinian "era", about the 4th century AD. I have to check with some other sources though.
