Please list where you are on your exit journey, i.e. Christian, Buddhist, agnostic, atheist, still searching, not searching, etc.

I'll start: Nondenomenational unchurched Christian.

Thanks.

I guess I'm agnostic, but really I just don't care.

Strangely, I have witnessed unexplained phenomena, but I left it as just that - unexplained phenomena.

I'm glad to have friends of many religious persuations. Thankfully, none of them are mormons or other extreme fanatical cultists, and hopefully none would be so stupid or unkind as to rat me out to mormons.

I'm an ex-Mormon, post-Catholic independent. Beyond that, not sure how I would describe myself. If you go to the Beliefnet website, there is a rather detailed religous/philosophical quiz you can take to see where your current beliefs, or lack of beliefs, take you. According to the results, I am now a liberal Quaker! For me, it's no longer a matter of WHAT one believes being important; instead, what matters to me is how one lives their life and deals with their fellow men and women.

I got a 100% match for reform Judaism! lol! Runner up was a 97% match for Unitarian/Universalist, which is where I will most likely end up should I ever go back to a church.

I would classify myself as a cultural Christian with eclectic beliefs.

I lean toward Buddhism, but can't wrap my head around the reincarnation (I enjoy meditation more than prayer and I love yoga.) I also lean toward Pegan, as I feel closer to "god" in natur or on the ocean than I do in any church. I am most definately anti-organized anything. (They all need $ for salvation.")

I guess I can't say I'm any one religion, though one thing I am is tolerant of anyone's choice of religion. (People let me be a Kolobian and actually listened to me and joined so who am I to judge. And I wasn't even a missionary.)

If and when I cross to the other side, the first words out of my mouth (once greetings with loved ones are dispensed with) will be: I'm not going back.

Tim.

Unitarian Universalist who sometimes attends Methodist or Episcopalian. Mostly, I just go wherever they will let me sing in the choir.

Had tears in my eyes rolling with laughter while reading your blog, saw the donation, loved it - but just felt too much like tithing in a way. Maybe after a few beers one night I'll read and be in a generous beer mood... Keep the blog rolling...

I know human nature makes us all vaulnerable to all kinds of thinking errors, I'm no exception. Yet it is in my opinion that I have no better option. Everything else comes to me second hand, better not invest too much conviction in it even though I do believe much of it (especially from science where thinking errors are systematically hunted down). In the words of Thomas Paine "My own mind is my church".

I believe in cute puppies and kittens.
Wine and Cheese.
Great movies.
Motorcyles.
Gardens.
Photography.
Computers and Gadgets.
Being decent, and kind, and trying to be good to others.

And that...if there is a God he or she really has some explaining and apologizing to do.

65% chance there is no God
34% chance there is a God, but there's no one true religion
0.999% chance there is one true religion, but it's not LDS

I would call myself Agnostic.

However I just look in the mirror and ask myself if I did right by the human race! I think oneself is ones worst critic!

I don't think I have a belief "system" at all. I guess if I had to say what my belief system is, I would have to say "MJ". Yes, my belief system is me. But that is not the same as the MJ of yesterday and it will not be the MJ of tomorrow.

My Facebook religious status is "Episcopalian" but I'm one of those who only goes to church at Christmas and Easter. The other times I go to church are for weddings and funerals.

Anything I need to know about life and being good I learned in kindergarten.

Anything I need to know about life in America I get from The Simpsons.

Anything I need to know about politics I get from The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.

These kinds of very simplistic philosophies make life sweet. At this point in my life I don't need another belief system, but I may need friends and I may need a way to feel useful to others. So this means that, in time, I may join another local church or UU or something that would allow me to give my tithes and offerings and personal time to purely local things.

I don't have a denomination, I'm still searching for the right fit. Overall though, I believe Christ is my savior and it was a free gift...not something you have to qualify for.

So, if I read you right, there are no qualifications for being saved by Christ, so that would mean even an Atheist like me is saved?

Wouldn't the idea that there were no qualifications for salvation mean that people like Hitler would get salvation, no questions asked?
