Hey just want to know what angers you about this cult?for me it is having missionaries knock on your door to tell you about their church and never tell you the entire truth at all!they just tell you what they are taught and it isn't much, or that money is taken from paying Mormons to build a mall in salt lake city?

The very best place TSCC can send its missionaries is to your house or mine, or any former mormon's, and let them hear the truth for a change.

When a favored TBM makes a serious mistake, they often a Pass, but when non-TBM Doubter calls LDS Inc. on a good /lie/mistake, they're Trashed!

Close to allowing 1 (TBM) spouse to use "religion" as a Wedge.

LDS church is a First-Class POS.

That they suck you in at the mere age of eight, or earlier if you are BIC. Then they hound you for the rest of your life.

I think there should be a law that states all religions must allow children who were taught, baptized, and confirmed into any religion before age 18 have the right to leave without any penalties, resistance, or records kept on them when they become adults. Actually, anyone, child OR adult should have the right to leave their respective churches with their records in hand and no further contact requests respected. The power of religions in this country (USA) is outrageous.

The knowledge that hundreds of thousands of kids are out there being indoctrinated and taught to hate themselves and others, just because some rich white men want more money and power.

If a God actually did exist then I'm sure he would be disgusted with humanity's religions.

How do I hate thee? Let me count the ways! TSCC is a cult/business and the leaders keep the deception going. It angers me when I read things such as the time that members in South America gave up their gold fillings to help pay for the house of polygamy worship in Brazil. All of the shenanigans of BY and JS and all the others. The MMM. Gordon Hinkley, aka "the hinkster" out right lying on national TV. So much more, but "these are a few of my favorite things."

The exclusionary tactics with family members. They obviously KNOW that I'm not worthy of my daughter, so they have to step in and be her supposed family. They think they are so holy and the rest of us are lacking.

But so many things, so so so many things. I couldn't possibly list them all. I'd have to come back day after day as I think of something else. It was my ex who told my daughter that "your mom was never happy mormon." No, I wasn't, but I lived it because I thought I HAD TO. None of our family was treated well in mormonism. Most of my siblings are out. My daughter is the only grandchild (and great grandchild) who is mormon.

I hate that they make it her responsibility to save her family, which causes a lot of conflict between us.

We're doing really good right now and I REFUSE to rock the boat ever again. She's again dating the guy I feel strongly she should marry and he is mormon, but I adore him. But oh my, the problems mormonism causes are ridiculous.

Everything, but knocking on my door every two weeks is up there. Also, brainwashing and control tactics used against the vulnerable. Intimidation to get people to pay tithing. Chanting in temple, hiding behind the name of jesus to confuse people has been bothering me lately. Pissing off the badass is the biggest one and forcing me to come on here. These mormons are literally everywhere up here and i kind of feel sorry for them.

What angers me now is how many times I was threatened with excommunication by asking uncomfortable questions, doing my own research(including the head in hat) back in the early 90's. I found that bit of info along with JS and more than one wife. I was given so much grief and threats by Bishops(including having my kids live with their abusive father) it put me in the hospital. Now they put it out there I was right. It angers me the people that were ex'ed because their info was correct and the church lied and they have not had any apologies as far as I know.

first LDS Inc has young people scuttle their education for the sake of going on LDS Missions, Then LDS inc wants young people to pay tithing right off the top while in the highly difficult ( for most) process of attempting to finish their education. It is incomprehensible selfishness and cruelty, administered in the name of god.

1. Being milked of their hard-earned money & time
2. Manipulation and control

We are in awe as to how our mutual friend who is too smart to fall for a scam converted into the fraud. Still placing bets every week as to when she'll start connecting the dots...

I really dislike the way they are supposed to be the most important thing in your life and the way that your "faithfulness" defines your character. So many people, the first thing out of their mouths if they haven't seen me for a while is "what's your calling?" "are you going to church?" etc. Do members of other faiths do this to each other? I don't think they do.

I am no longer angered, I pity each member. It is sad that each will continue the mind control, or have enough character to walk away and experience the trials in life from emerging to truth. Both are sad.

Of course, after the turmoil ends, there is an awesome peace.

This probably isn't what angers me the most, but it is what angers me today. As an adult, I find that I've had to teach myself about boundaries, because my Mormon upbringing taught me such bad ones. I still find myself doing whatever I'm asked, or giving up personal information that is asked of me without thinking about it. Sometimes I find myself asking others inappropriately personal things and don't realize until after it's out of my mouth how rude that is. This is how Mormons are, this is how my family still is. We were brow-beat into obedience that nothing was personal. Our time, skills, belongings are not our own, but to be given up when asked.

a nonny mouse, you aren't the only one. I'm just glad my ex mo and closeted friends were able to move past all that very quickly. We don't live anywhere close to the Mormon territory part of the country, so I think that made it easier for them given they had an extensive social life outside of the church which gave them a different perspective on many things. It's like you could never tell they were Mormon at all.

Prior to a temple wedding, not allowing couples who have non-LDS family and friends from having a wedding prior to a temple wedding (having to wait one year.)

My late cousin Patricia went through this prior to marrying in the DC Temple. She was the only daughter, and of course, her parents were deeply hurt about this. The "ring exchange" afterwards is a joke.

When I was on my mission in Austria, I learned that you must do a civil marriage at the Registration Office prior to any type of Church wedding. In Europe, they can go immediately to the temple wedding immediately after the Registration Office wedding. That could be done here, and it frosts me that it isn't done here.

A member stopped attending because he was told to either get inside gospel doctrine class or get out. He had been asking too many upsetting questions in GD class. So when he suddenly passed away, some members judged the deceased very harshly. "Too bad he fell away and stopped living the word of wisdom or he would still be with us." There was no evidence that his death was a result from drinking coffee or tea.

The history (still a victim mentality from the Pioneer Stock) & introduction of polygamy in the USA. The inequality of women and men & gay and straight & racism. The unhealthy obsession of no sex before marriage, no masturbation, porn is evil, and whatever else is associated with sex. The time suck of callings & lay-persons giving advice. Taking time and money away from families for tithing & 18 months to 2 years from young adults to go on missions when they could be studying or using their time more wisely. The perception that the LDS church is the only true church and nonmembers have no value(s) and must be converted. The black and white view that I am susceptible to that still has me in a perfectionism trap and still brainwashed even though I haven't been to a meeting in 10 years.

These are all good and valid reasons to be angry.
For me it has to be the falseness of it all. The children are taught to testify that "it's the only true church on the face of this earth". I never did though. The best I could say was it was true as far as I have investigated. But, once I started researching the church, their claims fell like a stack of cards. I realized it was all a huge con started by a group of con men. Every thing was false! The founders, their claims, their scriptures, their doctrine, the authority of the priesthood, their revelations, their ceremonies and rituals, temples, etc;. And there' good evidence that much of that damn BOM and temple ordinances were stolen. And they still continue to morph and evolve, spinning and weaving to make it palatable for the core membership. I could no longer believe in their claims and participate in their activities and still live with myself. And after trying to show several members what I discovered, all I got was their testimony.
