China Town, Nob HIll, Lombard St. Presidio, Blue and White fleet tour of the bay, Alacatraz, Gherredelli Square, Mission District, Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park, Angel Island, Napa Valley, Saulsolito and Marin County, Berkeley, John Muir Preserve, Moraga Canyon, Grizzley Peak Rd views of the bay and JM Preserve, Wine Train, Balloon rides. Restaurants along Pier 39 are good, especially Phillips.

I just spent 3 days there. I found the Alcatraz tour the highlight. Very much enjoyed the audio tour. Make sure you book a few days in advance as tickets are hard to get on the same day. Enjoyed crab at Francicans on the wharf.

Go to Monterey Bay (short trip) - see the aquarium and cannery row.
See the Winchester House (haunted - boo!) - lots of fun for the entire family.
Both are a short drive South.
