Just in case you're wondering, I have been tempted lots and lots of times to do lots and lots of things I shouldn't do. I have never been tempted to stop liking girls and switch to boys.

Have you? Is there something you'd like to share with the group?

He's really, really old. I'd say let's cut him some slack with his outdated views. It's hard for the older generation to turn on a dime and think something is suddenly ok because society accepts it now.

My only problem with this thinking is that he claims to have weekly chats with God. God is not a product of his time. God is supposed to tell Nelson what to think and what to say. The logical conclusion of the "product of his time" excuse is that God himself needs to step down and let a younger God take over.

And I don't see the younger set of Mormon leaders making any sort of changes either. They are not products of their time. They are products of their Biblical world view.

I might be so inclined...if he wasn't standing up and asserting that his outdated views are the absolute will of god to millions of people on a daily basis, and he kept his outdated views to himself and his near acquaintances.

Since that's not the case...no slack.

Well, we know that either Ghawd didn't like Monson or he's not interested any more. Do you think communication has been resumed or does the conversation remain one-sided?

He looks somewhat like a flaccid penis. Can I say "penis" here?
