The missionary was singing about what he believed. "A Mormon just believes..."
The song mentioned Jews coming in boats, Kolob, Garden of Eden in Missouri, and a few other goofy things. The audience roared.
OMG, if I were Mormon, I would be cringing with embarrassment. I would be miffed they "misinterpreted" things to make Mormons look crazy. After all, Mormons can't help it if everyone else just doesn't have as much truth as they do!
The girl who won the award for the female lead in BoM would not shut up during her acceptance speech. She was adorable. I'll bet she does a great job in the play.
That musical number was absolutely hysterical! The look on the other black actor's face when the "Elder" was singing about 1978 and Kolob was priceless! The Boyz' PR Dept. cannot deep down think this shows TSCC in a positive light. It does the opposite, bringing to light all the weird doctrines like my own planet, etc. I was cracking up. I have to see this!
Did you get the news that you can download the ENTIRE original cast recording at Amazon.com for only $1.99!!!! I've already done it and it took only five minutes or so.
BUT DON'T WAIT! The offer is good for only 24 hours.
Thanks for the heads up. Just downloaded it. Wish it was a little smoother with Macs. I'm liking the deals on Amazon, but find it way more effort than iTunes.
Trey Parker just thanked, "our co-writer who passed away.." and I was thinking, who passed away? He continued, "Joseph Smith, co-writer of the BoM...congratulations, Joseph, you got the Tony!"
LOL!

I would sooooo get my picture taken with them. For once, I wish they would show up (but they've dusted their shoes here, they won't)
Will they have a clue that they are suddenly a strange American iconic figure?
If they lose the white shirt/tie (yah, highly likely), it might help. The Grumpy Old Men have absolutely no clue. What a strange time to be a mishie. And "I Believe" was not "Anti." It was cool.
