Since critics of the church have been called "anti-mormons," where the "mormons" part refers to the church and its members, the Saints can no longer use that term for its critics, since doing so would give Satan a "victory."

They are going to have to call us "anti-church-of-jesus-christ-of-latter-day-saints".

That might make us apostates difficult to rebut effectively.

The term "Anti-Mormon" has always been used to dismiss any criticism of MORmONs coming from former Mormons.
As if we are all Ed Decker, lying to people to exploit them in yet another patriarchal ponzi scheme.
Now they will continue to dismiss us as liars.
There is no convincing a committed MORmON until they are willing to follow the evidence to its logical conclusion. Until that time, any input stops at the reptilian brain which triggers the fight or flight instinct to kick in. And when it does, get back because the emotional brain takes over like a bull elephant in a china shop.

I consider myself an exmo, have done for decades, and I cherish the label.

I'm expecting that around here I'll be a little more Apostate and a little less anti-Mormon :-)

Kinda reminds me of calling someone an "Anti-Nephi-Lehi" - somehow in the end it means good guy. Same thing with Anti-Mormon, still the good guys.
