IN: Monday Family Home Evening which sucked the bone-a-phone...kids hated it, I hated it.

OUT: Monday Night Football. Doesn't suck the bone-a-phone.. kids love it, I love it.

IN: Cram every fucking chore you can't do during the week into Saturday because Sunday's totally blown,,, every week,, week after week... throughout eternity.

OUT: Maybe I mow the lawn on Saturday or we ride the Harley or we BBQ with the neighors. Nap day.... I'm a professional napper.

IN: Sunday, get up at 5AM be at the church at 7AM to go to meetings and shit. Spend 3 hours being tortured to death. Stay after meetings until who knows how late for meetings, interviews... Just shoot me.

OUT: Sunday is brunch day. Sleep in late, brunch, nap (did I say I'm a professional napper?), fix a nice dinner, drink beer, wine... whatever. This is also visitation Sunday where we go see folks or they come and see us.

IN: Wednesday, run home from work, change into Scout uniform, run over to the ward house and teach a troop where 1/2 the kids didn't want to be there anyway. 1/2 usually left to play B-ball in the cultural hall.

OUT: Wednesday is nap after work day. Also, Diners, Drive-Inns and Dives is on.

IN: Pay tithing.

OUT: Buy toys and save money so I don't have to eat cat food in my Golden Years.

I could go on and on...

Just sayin'...

Ron

Ron, your out life is remarkably similar to my life in general. Naps are wonderful! As are coffee, booze, and lazy Sundays. Oh how I love my lazy Sundays. The only difference is that I'm not the sports type of lesbian, so Monday is House night during the on season, and 'Catch up on Tivo' night when it's in repeats.

**sigh** could you send anonymous letters to my girl letting her know how much free time she could have to enjoy life? I hate never getting more than two hours before she has to rush off to some responsibility or another.

In-date night at the temple cafeteria, then onto a session, arrive home stressed and worn out.

Out-date night to a fantastic restaurant, some romancin' and dancin', arrive home then onto a "session"

IN Put on garments, hose, a slip, and a dress with sleeves even on 100+ Sundays. Sit on a hard pew in an unairconditioned chapel trying to scratch the heat rash without being noticed.

OUT Put on a cotton skirt and sleeveless top with bare legs and arms. Move the lounge chair to a part of the yard that has a slight breeze and shade and read a good novel. Or heck any book that doesn't contain the phrase "and it came to pass".

IN Sunday snack is a gulp of chlorine flavored water from a tiny paper cup and a bite of bread last touched by a pubescent tween.

OUT Sunday snack is a lovely margarita and tortilla chips.

This was the early 70's in Lovelock Nevada. Haven't really been in a church in a very long time.
