Parley Jeffs Dutson former lost boy convicted of murder

This story is old but I just learned of it.
He was kicked out of the FLDS at 16. One night, he was drinking and on mushrooms and shot his girlfriend.

With the tradition of using a mother's maiden name as son's middle name, I'm assuming that his mom was a child of either Rulon or one of his sons'.

It wasn't only religion that twisted his thinking as much as the drugs he was on that led to his depravity. He was deeply remorseful. Yet no remorse will ever bring back his lost love.

He has to live with that the rest of his life.
