If the sales pitch was accurate, revealed light from God would have given Joseph Smith and subsequent prophets innovations that would have the effect of a shelf factory.

EXAMPLE

Each member would have a Testimony Score or rating formula that would be a robust tool serving to identify and motivate complete obedience and optimal sacrifice.

What other features that don't exist today would be evidence that no whitewashing had taken place between 1830 and today?

EXHIBIT B:

When Moroni stands on top of the highest spire-ball, holding a smooth brown stone, you may know that the church has nothing to hide.

Every Stakehouse and temple would have multi-level parking garages with Valet service, like there is at every fabulously successful casino in Las Vegas.

The birthrate, divorce rate and full financial disclosure would replace full-time missionaries.

Every other church on earth would transform into institutions that retained their own dwindling populations by adopting the many inspired tenets and Christlike policies of the true Church of Christ.

The personal lives of adherents would reflect genuine holiness, humility and love.

There would be no Rameumtom, no great and spacious building and no Courts of Pride.

Intellects would generate awesom books and every family would arrive 20 minutes early, in a good mood, smiling and embracing any stranger before inviting them home for dinner.

If the church was true there would be oscillating on doctrine.

There would be no need to say "we never taught that", "it was the culture then" or "he was talking as a man"

The Book of Mormon would contain the fullness of the gospel. It doesn't.

There are no mention of Deacons, Bishops or Stake Presidents.

No mention either, oddly enough, of requiring marriages to be performed in the temple. No mention of an endowment ceremony.

Everybody would have thousands of journal entries describing their conversations with God and Jesus.

God would have told Joseph Smith (1) where Zarahemla was, (2) to not sleep with anybody other than Emma, and (3) how to set up factories for producing antibiotics, automobiles, and smart phones.

Each member would be physically fit, financially independent and there would be thousands of temples wherein true devotion through revealed eternal rituals that were in harmony with common sense, the teachings of Christ and all of ancient texts.

Patents and new systems that replaced the lame vain repetitions of Priesthood blessings would attract every educational institution on earth.

There would be no need to advertise, repeat or change tactics that prove the paucity of truly inspired leadership.

Exhibit J

The word of a Latter-day Saint would replace contracts, legal offices and require the shuttering of ever-expanding, hardened Court houses.

The stunning differences seen in every Mormon community would create a curiam spikfuturbusinesses that would employ the Youth

....there would be actual modern day revelation pertaining to the many problems the world faces, not just administrative changes claimed as inspired and an effort to make the word "Mormon" offensive.

MORmONISM would NOT have to align itself with other unrelated things to get more attention and to make it seem more attractive, crap like the Olympics

MORmONISM could sell itself strictly on its own merits and crap like the Olympics would come looking to align itself with MORmONISM ....but that AINT happening !!!


If the MORmON religion was one tenth of what it claims it was, people would be cheating trying to get in 3 or 4 or 5 sacrament meetings on sunday, people would be watching and savoring videos of church meetings in every minute of their spare time and sneaking in viewing of such things at work on personal devices to the extent that not much would get done at work and it would put a dent in the economy

Full tithe payers would be wealthy and successful.

Blah blah to all the above.

Now let's get real.

Everybody would speak the pure Adamic language which of course is with an Aussie accent and Vegemite would be free and compulsory.

Christmas would be spent here on the beach.

And everyone will say G'day mate.

Oh yeah and JS would be called a Wanker!

I lived it as well as I possibly could. I still have people tell me, "You did it all right and look what happened to your life." I thought if I did it all right, as per my PB, I would not be called upon to suffer unduly at any time (exact wording).

So what happened?

I obviously must have been unrighteous and all my friends who did whatever they felt like and now have the "perfect" little mormon lives would have been through what I have. My "friend" from childhood just posted about having read the bofm 3 times this year or however long they were asked to and now she is looking forward to reading "Saints" that her husband gave her for Christmas. While I was being a good little mormon girl, she was having sex with every guy she dated.

But in the end, I'm glad I'm HERE and not THERE. My aunt gave all of our family (my mom's sister gave my mom's kids/grandkids/greatgrandkids) BofM's for Christmas with little notes to each of us about she heard our mother speaking to her about saving her family. Oh yes. My mother would NOT do that. To say it was offensive??? I had to hide my son's and my ex's copies (she even gave my boyfriend one) so my son wouldn't burn them.

My therapist told me some years back that he and I tested mormonism to its very limits and it failed us.
