Why doesn't the Holy Ghost inspire more LDS than non-members to invent and create wonderful medicines and cures for things and life saving devices????

I would assume that with the addition of the HG to a scientists life, LDS would be outcreating non-LDS 100-1.

When I was a street cop, (and active) I would sometimes pray to be led to crime before it happened or if not, to catch those bad guys afterword. But my success was on par with all other cops. Shouldn't I have had outstanding success by being guided by the HG?

Why Why Why???? Did I want a sign.... I guess so....

Clearly a classic case of excessive masturbation coupled with little faith!

The important thing to remember is that anytime the church failed you it was actually you failing the church.

That doesn't effect your salvation so put it on the shelf and don't worry about it. You will find the answer in the next life and BTW, you ask too many questions.Have faith and pay your tithing.

I know right!

You think too much!

There must be sin in your life.

Who have you been talking to, that is my personal favorite!

AIC, did you ever answer that "Who have you been talking to" question with "God"?

Yes!

I was told that God would not reveal any such thing to me???????

Er so personal revelation is out the window now in favour of obedience?

See how this is becoming easy?

Everything is the way the church tells you, but god has hidden and distorted all the evidence to make it seem like there is no reason to believe in the mormon church. In reality LDS scientists do outperform ordinary scientists, and you really did a better job catching "the real" bad guys than your collegues did. It's just that god is testing your faith by making it seem like this isn't the case.

When I was a TBM I was told that every great invention in the past 150 years was a direct result of now having the light of the gospel on the earth. In Joseph Smith’s time, everyone rode horses. Now we can fly to the moon. How did I ever believe that crap?

1. Stanley Pons and Martin Fleischman at the University of Utah; "COLD FUSION"; a TOTAL waste of time; probably Lots of FRAUD.

2. Robert Jarvik, 'artificial heart' (IS he LDS?), U of Utah.
Was another Flash in the Pan. It did do Barney what's-his-name good for a while, though...

3. Philo Farnsworth, Idaho; 'inventor of television'... Well, this one is more complicated. I understand he invented SOME of the technology that went into TV, probably borrowed some; he, like Henry Ford (decidedly NOT LDS!) put the work of others together into practical application.

others???

Im sure there are Lots, mostly less Flashy, but still important out there.

Here's a list:

Doesn't say how active, or if any of these were more of a "Al Gore internet" thing but I'm too lazy to research it beyond this.
