We spent all day shopping with grandma to get summer clothes for the the kids - too tired to cook so we went to Subway.

Hamburgers. Mmmnn. Homecooked, but not on a grill.

My wife won the lotto--yahoo! Only $500 on a scratch off, though. So I had a fish taco at Adelberto's in Rocklin CA, yumm...paid for by gambling winnings. Sin adds flavor.

no citrus. Oldest son's gilfriend has these restrictions on what she can eat comfortably. I made an apple crisp with stevia and a (gluten free) penne with white sauce made from blended white beans, almond flour, veggie broth, onions and garlic.

It was yummy and nice to be able to make a meal that EVERYONE could enjoy together while we are together this weekend.

What is that? Is that anything like Pinga de Pollo?

We never got past the appetizers--98 degree weather and St Arnold's 'Lawnmower' Beer made eating impossible.

However, I do have a question: what is 'Five Guys'? One just opened a few exits down the freeway and I'm curious--all it says is Burgers and Fries. So what's the deal? Anyone know?

They have hot dogs too (I am not a hot dog fan) and the hamburgers are delish....

The burgers are good. An order of fries is enough for 3 ppl but you you end up paying a lot for burgers & fries.

I had a 6" tuna sub from Subway. Did you know that there are more Subways than McDonalds in the world now?

I made a very delicious Greek salad.

Now sipping a G'n'T and getting a bit peckish... eyeing up some cold, leftover roast chicken in the fridge...
