Why is the Morg so intent on owning large areas of valuable farming land?

They own the largest ranch in Florida.they own only less than the Queen of England in farming land in the UK.I have heard they own substantial ranches in other US states and south American countries.

Do they want to threaten food supplies if we as a society publicly insult them?I have read it is a conspiracy.

Are you asking why a money-hungry corporation is interested in owning property?

I would think the question answers itself. I won't even comment on your conspiracy theory.
