It makes sense to me that when the court is apprised of the Fact that saying or printing the word 'mormon' is a big win for Satan, the word will be banned, and this will cause a rippling effect throughout all polite society so that before this decade is over, the word will only be uttered by miscreants and guttersnipes!

Seems that you can't TM the name of a historical figure, so the church is stuck. As long as they claim Mormon really lived, they can't TM. The church has to concede he's wholly fictional in order to even have a chance.
